Today is the official unofficial last day of summer vacation. I am sitting in my kitchen, aware that my 3 children are running around outside,climbing trees, and casing each other on their bikes. While it sounds like the summer's day we all seem to remember from our own childhoods, I find myself wondering if my second is feeling abandoned by me, because I have not stepped in to redirect her brother as he monopolizes her time with her new friend? I wonder how long I can sit here with my own thoughts before...never mind. It's over.
